The Word of God proclaims to His blood bought children: To be a victorious overcomer, while traveling through life’s hardships and difficulties, we must be willing to offer up to God a sacrifice of praise! But as we know, a sacrifice of praise is not something easily carried out, because of the struggles taking place, in our hearts’ and souls’. When we are struggling through life’s pressures, powerful emotions, lack of patience, or on-going personal problems; it can become a difficult spiritual battle to offer up a sacrifice of praise. In fact, we must go against our feelings-hold on to faith-while at the same time, we press on, towards the alter of Lord Yahweh’s outstretched arms. We are His precious children, and His unmerited grace and abundant mercy will enable our ‘surrendered will’, to rise above what we are feeling, and enter into deliberate and sacrificial praise to our God! The sacrifice of praise is not only pleasing to the High and Lifted up God of Glory, but our intentional praise will gradually lift us up-out of our cares, worries, and negative self-absorption, while releasing us into the freedom of Spirit that God desires for us to experience.
On the cross Jesus, the perfect lamb of God, sacrificed His life, and offered up Himself, so there is no longer a need to offer up blood sacrifices for mankind’s sin. Jesus Christ paid the price for our redemption, once and for all- it is finished! Praise His Name! Because of our Wonderful Lord Jesus and what He has sacrificed for us, we will surrender our wills, and choose to offer up to God a steady stream of praise sacrifices- these are ‘the lambs’ we offer from our lips that celebrate His name!
“Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of our lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name” (Hebrews 13:15amp).
